Day 1: Drive South West To Bwindi
By 7:00am a driver from Africa Nature Trekkers will pick you up from your accommodation and head southwards. You will stop at the Equator, a renowned place for photography and even get some refreshments. Have lunch in Mbarara town. Then the rest of the journey will take you through the Ankole land – home of the long horned Ankole cattle, past terraced Kigezi highlands and eventually in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dine and slumber at Bwindi Gorilla safari lodge or Engagi lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel, Mahogany Springs, or Nkuringo Lodge or Buhoma Community.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast you will be briefed at the park headquarters about Uganda gorilla trekking. With enough drinking water and a packed lunch, you will set off into the forest to start your search. You may thing about hiring a porter since the trekking make take anything between 2 and 8 hours and these can be really helpful in carrying your backpack you will be allowed to spend an hour observing and taking photos of the mountain gorillas. Day 3: A Day At Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before checking out of the lodge and drive to Lake Bunyonyi the 2nd deepest Lake in the whole of Africa coming after Lake Tanganyika. This lake is outstandingly beautiful that several guests opt to spend their entire day simply relaxing and enjoying its beauty. However, our guests will visit some the numerous islands on this lake on the exciting canoe ride, alternatively you may decide to enjoy a culture experience as you visit and personally meet the locals living in this part of the country. Overnight stay at Birds’ nest, Arcadia cottages or Bunyonyi Overland Camp.
Day 4:Return to Kampala to Catch Your Departure Flight
After a wonderful breakfast, drive back to Kampala with lunch in Mbarara making a brief stop at the crossing of the Equator.
