This Highlights of Uganda tour includes Game Drives and boat rides in Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth, and Lake Mburo & Semliki- Activities include Gorilla trekking, Chimp tracking, Bird watching, Night Game Drives and Sport fishing on Ssesse Islands

Day 1: Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe / Kampala

You will be received by a representative from Africa Nature Trekkers and one of our drivers / guides, drive you to your booked accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Murchison Falls, Visit the Top of the Falls

Morning get picked from your Hotel in Kampala by our tour guide/your driver guide and be driven to Murchison Falls National Park. En route visit the Ziwa Rhino farm for Rhino viewing. Proceed to Masindi town and stop for lunch at Masindi Hotel. Proceed to the park, visit the fascinating top of Murchison falls. Overnight at Paraa Safari Luxury Lodge / Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp

Day 3: Wildlife Viewing and Boat Ride On the Albert Nile

After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game driveon the northern bank and enjoy sight of herds of Buffalos, Elephants, Warthogs and Towering Giraffes, Along With Bushbucks, Reedbuck, Duikers, Kobs, Oribi And The Unusual-Looking Hartebeest. Afternoon take a Boat cruise on River Nile up to bottom of the falls seeing giraffe, lion, elephant, schools of hippos and many bird species like the shoe bill stork. Overnight at Paraa Safari luxury Lodge / Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

Set off for Fort Portal and to Kibale Park. Dinner and Overnight at Primate Lodge / Chimp Guest House / Kibale Forest Lodge

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Semliki National Park

Today you will set out for a very early morning chimpanzee trek on a guided forest walk in Kibale Forest. The trek gets going at 6.00 am immediately after breakfast. This part of the country has the highest number of primates. Watch out for the wonder that is the chimp families and the red Colobus monkeys swinging through the dense forest with birds, several butterflies and reptiles as well as small insects are a common sighting in this park. You will have a lunch break. Go for a leisurely nature walk to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site where you will encounter of rare and beautiful flora and fauna. Have lunch at the Kanyanchu Tourist centre. This is the Fort portal on the way to the Semiliki National Park. Overnight at the Semiliki Safari Lodge

Day 6: Sightseeing Night Game Drive & Birding

After breakfast visit Semliki National Park in Budibugyo District viewing the scenic Rwenzori Mountains, the hot springs and if possible the pygmies. Carry out a Night game drive looking for the rare nocturnal species leopard, Night jars, etc Semliki is known for its most sought after rarities that include the Congo Serpent eagle, Black-throated coucal, Grey-throated rail, the Yellow-throated nicater, etc. Bird watchers in Semliki spend full days in the park forests with some trails more popular because of the ease of spotting the birds. Overnight at Luxury Semliki Lodge

Day 7: Semliki National Park – Queen Elizabeth

After Early breakfast, you will go for a beautiful boat ride on the Lake Albert for some bird watching. You will return to the lodge for lunch. Set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route see the beautiful scenery of the foothills of Mount Rwenzori and a game drive on the way to Samba Safari / Mweya Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Game Drive and Launch Cruise

After Early breakfast, leave for an early morning game drive, which may give you the opportunities to view a wide range of wildlife such as Elephants, Giant Forest Hog, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Topi, Uganda Kobs, Bushbucks, and a variety of bird species. Return for lunch at the lodge, and then in the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel with a high concentration of Hippos, Herds of buffaloes and elephants. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Samba Safari

Day 9: Chimpazee Tracking – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After Early morning breakfast, depart for an early morning chimp tracking in the Kyambura gorge. You are likely to see a lot of chimpanzees and other primates. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest pass through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth called Ishasha famous for tree-climbing lions have gave drive thereafter. Proceed to Bwindi overnight at Kitandara / Gorilla Forest Camp / Gorilla Resort / Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 10: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi

After a heavy early morning breakfast and short briefing from the guides depart for the gorilla tracking experience which is for a lifetime. As you enjoy both an amazing and exciting experience to you may sport other interesting bird species as well as other nocturnal primates like the bush buck and Gallegos. Return to Kitandara / Gorilla Forest Camp / Buhoma Community Bandas for overnight

Day 11: Bwindi Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

African Fish Eagle Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast; interact with the Batwa people who are the shortest pygmies as well as observing different bird species at the islands. After Lunch, relax at the lodge and later enjoy a boat cruise along the islands, dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Overland Resort/Arcadia Cottages.

Day 12: Bird Watching Tour at Lake Bunyonyi

Morning carryout a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, visit communities and the rest of the day will be at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages / Bunyonyi Overland Camp

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Have breakfast and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival go for a game drive and you will be able to see animals like the zebras, elephants, impalas, Uganda cobs, eland and so many others. In the evening you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo where you will see crocodiles, hippos and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp/ Rwonyo rest camp

Day 14: From Lake Mburo National Park to Ssese Islands

After breakfast go for a game drive looking for variety of wild life Zebra buffalo, hyena etc. Check out and drive to Ssese Islands. Cross with ferry to the islands and check in at Ssese Island club / Pearl Gardens Resort.

Day 15: Leisure at Ssese Islands

After breakfast, set out for leisure activities at the Islands; Fishing is of course a major activity on the island; visitors can go out for fishing trips or simply tour the island on boat. You can also take a boat out and tour some of the smaller islands. The islands are dream destination for ardent birders teeming with colourful birds. You can opt for a guided forest walk, village tours, are all available. Overnight at Pearl Garden Beach/ Island Club

Day 16: Transfer Back To Kampala – Entebbe for Departure

After breakfast, aboard the ferry to Entebbe in the morning arriving at around mid day, you will have a relaxing afternoon before proceeding to the airport in time for your scheduled departure flight.
