Day 1: Arrival At Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be received by a representative and driver / guide from Africa Nature Trekkers who will transfer you to your accommodation at Cassia Lodge, Hotel Le Bougainviller or Capitol Palace Hotel.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Following breakfast your adventure starts as you drive northwest to Masindi into Murchison Falls National Park which is the largest national park in the whole of Uganda that offers stunning sceneries of tropical forests, grasslands, acacia and savannah.
Afterwards you will take a nature walk in the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, which is a breeding project, intended to see the rebirth of the once endangered white & black rhinos. During these walks you will have the opportunity to closely observe them as they wander in this reserve. You will have lunch and then drive to the park where you will head to the falls and observe the waters of the Nile force their way through a small 7m gorge and drop below to over 40 meters with a thunderous drop. Dine and slumber at Red Chilli Rest Camp, or Paraa Safari Lodge or even Nile Safari Lodge
Note: Today transfer is about 6 hours drive, part of it through dirt road within the park.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast you will embark on an early morning game drive, explore the savannah in the delta of the Nile on Lake Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wild, you might find elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, very rarely, the leopards. Drive back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you take the boat safari along the river Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. It is amazing the concentration of wildlife in the bank of the river Nile, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird’s species, like African eagles, pelicans, kingfisher, Egyptian geese and much more. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge / Nile Safari Lodge (C) or Red Chilli Rest Camp (E)
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest – Hoima
Early morning after breakfast you drive to Budongo Forest, in Kaniyo-Pabidi, for the tropical forest trekking. This is the natural habitat of the chimpanzees and other primates such as black and white colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, blue monkey, vervet monkey and baboons. In the afternoon, optional, you can take a cultural activity and visit the fishermen villages on the shore of Lake Albert. Dinner and overnight at Hoima, Kontiki Hotel
Day 5: Hoima – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart from Hoima and head southwest along Lake Albert and the Rift Valley escarpment, enjoying the beautiful scenery on your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park; have Lunch. This road takes you past the Rwenzori mountain ranges to Kasese town. In the park, you will have game drive in the evening. Dine and slumber at Hippo Hill Camp or Simba Safari Lodge Mweya Safari Lodge or at Jacana Safari Lodge FB
Note: total travel time today will be 7 – 8 hours, along a dirt road and road conditions vary basing on the rains.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early In the morning, have a game drive along the various tracks in the Northern part of the national park, towards Kasenyi village and the stunning Lake George. You are likely to come see Ugandan kobs, lions, waterbucks, elephants, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, and may be the rare leopard. Queen Elizabeth presents unique breathtaking landscapes and stunning sights of the Albertine Rift Valley and crater lakes that dominate this area. Have Lunch back at the lodge before taking an afternoon boat safari take down the Kazinga channel, mostly known for its great population of wild animals and amazing birdlife and outstanding photography opportunity. You will see several hippos, elephants plus buffaloes drinking water. Later you will return for dinner and the overnight at Hippo Hill Camp or Simba Safari Lodge Mweya Safari Lodge or at Jacana Safari Lodge FB
Day 7: Ishasha – Bwindi Forest National Park
Following breakfast, drive southwards to Bwindi forest NP home to the endangered mountain gorillas. drive through the Ishasha area, in southern Queen Elizabeth NP to see the tree climbing lions commonly seen in the day’s hot hours resting in the branches of large fig trees. You will as well see herds of buffaloes, topi antelopes plus elephants among others. Have Lunch along the way. Overnight in Bwindi National Park or in Kisoro at Kisoro Travelers Hotel, Bwindi Engagi Lodge, Buhoma Community Rest Camp or Nkuringo Safari Lodge
Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Safari
Early morning you will enter the Bwindi tropical forest to track mountain gorillas. This thrilling activity begins at 8am lead by ranger guides and moving in groups of utmost 8 people as you look for the habituated mountain gorilla family that you were allocated according to your permits. Uganda Bwindi forest has a total population of nearly 370 gorillas; which is actually half the world’s mountain gorilla population in accordance with the gorilla population survey conducted in 2007. It isn’t knowable how long you will trek before finally encountering the gorillas. You will be allowed an hour observing these great apes and their natural habitat, and even have the chance to take photographs. You will have a packed lunch which you will enjoy later on. In the evening drive to Lake Bunyonyi – a very scenic place where you will dine and at Arcadia Cottages – Heritage Lodgeor Panorama Jajama Lodge.
Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala
After breakfast, set out for a very enjoyable birding experience on a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi. There are several forested islands on this lake that offer shelter to several endemic bird species that your the guide will assist you identify. Return to Kampala, having lunch along the way. Dine and slumber in Kampala at Cassia Lodge, Capitol Palace Hotel or Metropole Hotel. FB

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
